She decided to explore new opportunities and eventually landed a job at a local bar. Over the years, Sheila worked her way up to become the bar manager. However, after a decade, she felt she had more to offer and decided to upload her resume to Indeed and apply for a sales position at MP Systems. Sheila's hard work and dedication paid off when her future boss, Kermit Wright, noticed her while enjoying his weekly burger and beer at the bar. Thanks to Kermit's recommendation, Sheila was offered the position at MP Systems, and she never looked back. Initially assigned to administrative tasks, Hallie discovered her true passion for social media and marketing and became a standout in the manufacturing industry. Rachel Marshall | CNC operator, Excel Machine
Rachel Marshall, famously known as The Lathe Babe, comes from a background in cosmetics, skincare, and fashion. Like many young girls, Rachel loved makeup and was fascinated by how things were made. After college, Rachel landed an excellent position at Sephora, an industry-leading makeup company. She worked there for many years until she decided that retail was no longer for her after starting a family. Fast forward to 2020, she was laid off by a mattress company due to Covid-19. Her husband, Luke Marshall, who runs his family's job shop (Excel Machine), asked her if she had any interest in helping around the shop, and the rest was history. Rachel has grown over 5k followers on LinkedIn, sharing content about her shop, which has increased leads and won jobs at Excel Machine. Matt Guse | President, MRS Machining
As president of MRS Machining, Matt Guse was told as a high school student he would "be a deadbeat" and " should go work some manufacturing job" by his teacher. Matt took this remark the best he could as motivation and was determined to make something great of himself. Matt and his father started a job shop out of their garage and faced many challenges during the start-up phase. Despite the struggle, Matt and his father continued forward. There was a significant economic downturn shortly after MRS started to pick up. Matt lost his parents, and things needed to look promising for the machine shop's future. Matt tributes his family and employees for keeping the business alive and growing.
